Born in Sydney, I've spent over 20 years in London, most of them in advertising studios.
My mentor loved Bembo, and his passion for type became mine. It's still my favourite typeface. Typography is the most under-appreciated part of great design and art direction. When it's right, reading is a pleasure and nobody can say why. That's the job, and I still kern by eye, one pair at a time.
I've run design at BETC London, co-led the rebuild of MullenLowe's design department, and worked with Mother, VCCP, JWT and Edelman on Xbox, Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Emirates and Bacardí.
